Berger & Brown has several practice areas, but its foundations are in real estate. We know that for property purchases or sales, you need quick and precise advice from an attorney. That is what we strive to give our clients. We help people and businesses in all types and stages of real estate transactions and litigation.
Our founding partner, Alex Berger, is a third-generation real estate attorney. His grandfather purchased a title insurance company in Iowa in the 1960s. His father expanded the business to all of Illinois and Iowa and Alex helps from Wyoming.
Since Alex could stand and read, he has been researching titles for the family business. When Alex got out of law school, he went to go work with his father in Davenport, Iowa. He became one of twelve Iowa Attorneys licensed to practice law and issue state-certified title for property. Iowa Title Guaranty granted him this license only after he presented recommendations and evidence that he possessed exceptional knowledge of real estate and title law.
Alex came to Wyoming in 2014 for an oil and gas dispute involving his father. He began working on mineral law for RT Cox in Gillette. Practicing law in Wyoming, Alex has worked on many real estate matters. In 2017, co-founded Redemption Properties, LLC, in Gillette, which acquires properties during the foreclosure process. And in 2018, he helped create Coal Country Real Estate, LLC, a buyer-focused real estate brokerage that prioritizes getting their clients legal representation.
Alex has been involved in thousands of real estate closings and he knows what to do, what not to do, and can think outside the box to get his clients exactly what they want in a real estate deal.
